Won gold as a member of the men's Games record-setting 400m FR-R team at 2007 WUGS, and took silver in the 400m Medley Relay...swam the finals of five events at the 2005 WUGs, earning two silvers (100m back and 400m medley relay) and two bronze medals (50m back and 400m free relay)...tied for third in the 100m back at the 2005 World Championship Trials...captured his first NCAA title in the 100y back in 2005.

As a swim coach, my mom understands swimming from the teacher's perspective as well as the family perspective. My dad and brother are always so proud of all my accomplishments. My sister was a Division I and Olympic Trials qualifier, so she's experienced almost everything I'm about to experience and can offer advice, which helps. Outside of my family, Lea Maurer has had a big influence on me. She showed me how to claim the feeling
